People: So, she’s finally getting centered

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

Alcoholics Anonymous apparently wasn’t enough for Lindsay Lohan.

The 20-year-old actress has checked into a rehab center after what was reportedly an all-night drinking binge following Monday’s Golden Globes ceremony.

Us Weekly reports that Lohan entered the posh Wonderland Center in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, arriving in a sports utility vehicle and clutching a Jamba Juice.

“I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time,” she said through her publicist.

In December, Lohan told People magazine that she had been going to AA meetings for a year.

Last July, she was treated for several hours at a Los Angeles area hospital for overheating and dehydration on the set of “Georgia Rule.” The film’s producer later blamed her problems on “ongoing all-night heavy partying.”

Master of his domain?

Jerry Seinfeld‘s high-priced Manhattan home is going to cost him more than he thought – about $100,000 more.

A Manhattan judge has ruled the comedian owes about that much as a commission to the broker who helped him find the $3.95 million town house on the Upper West Side.

Seinfeld argued that broker Tamara Cohen didn’t deserve the commission because she failed to show the house on the day he wanted to see it, but Cohen says she told him that she didn’t work during the Jewish Sabbath.

Pitt stop

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have moved into their new $3.5 million house in New Orleans’ French Quarter – at least for now.

Pitt’s latest film, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” has been filming in New Orleans since November.

He teamed up last year with Global Green USA to sponsor an eco-friendly design competition to rebuild parts of the city that were the hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.

Loon star

Not everyone was thrilled with rocker Ted Nugent’s appearance at a black-tie gala to kick off Texas Gov. Rick Perry‘s second term.

Using machine guns as props, Nugent appeared as the final act of Perry’s inaugural ball wearing a cutoff T-shirt emblazoned with the Confederate flag and reportedly shouting offensive remarks about non-English speakers.

‘Idol’ wish

The Internet serial “Lonelygirl15” will take a star turn today when “American Idol” runner-up Katharine McPhee guests.

McPhee was an early fan of the show, which unravels the mystery of a 16-year-old girl named Bree, and her management contacted its creators about doing a guest spot.

A song from McPhee’s debut album, due Jan. 30, will be featured as background music.
