Winter festival planned at Opportunity Presbyterian

Everything always seems to be so blah in the middle of January and our recent warm temperatures haven’t helped. In an effort to break up the winter doldrums, Opportunity Presbyterian Church plans to host a Winter Festival next Saturday.

You can play bingo for prizes, participate in the cake walk in the hopes of winning a delectable dessert or make a craft project. There will be a silent dessert auction and cookies, juice and coffee will be served.

Kids will be able to burn off some energy in a jumping castle and play games such as a ring toss and an inflatable basketball shootout game.

The festival will run from 4 to 6 p.m. next Saturday. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. The church is at 202 N. Pines Road.
