Surprise, surprise – it’s a girl for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. The baby arrived Thursday evening, according to publicists for the couple. E! News reported they had named her Violet.

The baby’s gender became less of a mystery when Garner apparently slipped up and referred to it as “she” during a late September appearance on the “Tonight Show.”

It’s the first child for Garner and Affleck, both 33, who were married in June. Affleck co-starred with Garner in 2003’s “Daredevil,” her first big movie role, but they didn’t begin dating until last year.

Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley, but they were divorced in March 2004 after 3 1/2 years of marriage.

Affleck and Jennifer Lopez called off their September 2003 wedding and broke off their engagement in January 2004.

Garner’s ABC series, “Alias,” is ending its five-year run in May. Her pregnancy was written into the show for her character, a globe-trotting spy.

Confirming the suspicions of many, Michael Jackson‘s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, is saying that the two children she bore him were test-tube babies.

The Irish newspaper Sunday World quoted Rowe as saying that both Prince Michael Jr., 8, and Paris, 7, were conceived using semen from a sperm bank.

“Michael knows the truth – that he is not the natural father of Prince Michael Jr. and Paris,” Rowe said. “He has to come clean.”

Lost? Their licenses might be

Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, who star on ABC’s “Lost,” were arrested within 15 minutes of each other in Hawaii on Thursday for allegedly driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

The actresses, in separate cars, were arrested after their vehicles were spotted weaving on Pali Highway, which connects Kailua and Honolulu, police said. Both failed field sobriety tests and were released on $500 bail.

Both are scheduled to appear at a driver’s license revocation hearing on Dec. 29.

Drunk with love?

Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston were pulled over by Scottsdale, Ariz., police earlier this week and Vaughn was given a sobriety test, but wasn’t cited.

Police said they smelled booze on Vaughn’s breath, but his blood-alcohol level was below the legal limit. They suggested he not continue to drive, and he and Aniston got into the car of a friend who had been following them.

For months, reports have swirled that Vaughn and Aniston, co-stars in the upcoming “The Break Up,” are dating. Last month, People magazine published photos showing the couple kissing in Chicago.

Oprah, Nielsen. Nielsen, Oprah

Oprah Winfrey‘s fence-mending appearance on David Letterman‘s “Late Show” Thursday earned the talk host his largest audience in more than a decade.

An estimated 13.5 million people watched Winfrey – a frequent butt of Letterman’s jokes – bury the hatchet, saying: “I have never for a moment had a feud with you.”

She even gave him a signed, framed photograph of herself and Uma Thurman – a reference to Letterman’s infamous “Oprah, Uma. Uma, Oprah” chant when he hosted the 1995 Academy Awards.
