Free Scoop Day at Ben and Jerry’s - today, noon-8 p.m., River Park Square, Atrium level three. Customers can select a free, 4-ounce scoop of their favorite ice cream flavor in a cup or cone, dished-up by special guest scoopers. Students from Spokane Public Schools will perform musical selections at the Scoop Shop throughout the day. Scheduled acts include the Whitman Elementary marimba ensemble, Ferris High School quartet, North Central High School choir, Cooper Elementary African drumming ensemble and Garry Middle School instrumental ensemble, among others. Donations will be accepted to benefit Spokane Public Schools music programs, including District-wide performances and instruments for low income students; 744-3350.
