Quest Winning Streak Reaches 10

Valerie Still had 22 points and eight rebounds as the Columbus Quest won their 10th consecutive game by defeating the New England Blizzard 72-52 Friday night at Columbus, Ohio.

It also was the 17th straight home victory for Columbus (29-7), surpassing the previous ABL record of 16 the Quest set last season.

Power 77, Reign 66 At Seattle

Natalie Williams scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Power to their 11th consecutive victory over the Reign. Molly Goodenbour added 17 points, Elaine Powell 13 and Katy Steding 10 for Portland (23-15).

Shalonda Enis and Kate Starbird paced Seattle with 16 each.

Seattle opened the game with a quick spurt, taking a 14-5 lead on Angela Aycock’s 3-pointer with 6:12 left in the first quarter. The Reign took their biggest lead at 30-18 in the second quarter before Portland came alive. “Their team rebounding in the second half was exceptional. That was the key,” Reign coach Tammy Holder said.
