Police Probe Slaying

From Staff And Wire Reports

Pierce County sheriff’s detectives have interviewed several people in the slaying of 9-year-old Cindy Allinger, whose body was found in a brushy lot on Wednesday.

But Capt. Nik Dunbar said authorities were no closer to making an arrest.

“There’s nothing at the scene that says ‘This person is responsible,”’ he said.

The girl disappeared July 4 and her body was found wrapped in carpet. She was wearing the same white and pink flowered dress she wore the day she disappeared. Officials said the girl died of homicidal violence.
