Okanogan Closer To Title

Okanogan beat Vancouver 8-4 Saturday in a game between undefeated teams at the State AA American Legion Tournament at Jackson Field.

Okanogan put itself in a strong position to win the tourney. Whatever team survives the remaining loser-out games of the double-elimination tourney would have to beat Okanogan twice.

Vancouver rallied to beat Kirkland 4-3 in eight innings.

In an earlier loser-out game, Ryan Raczykowski threw a complete game as Yelm edged Spokane’s Maxwell House 2-1. Maxwell House limited Yelm to three hits.
