Two Officers Face Charges Of Tampering
Two Geiger Corrections Center officers have been charged with tampering with evidence, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.
Edwin Rosario and Michael Horstman each are charged with one count of tampering with physical evidence, a gross misdemeanor.
The charges follow a complaint filed by an unidentified corrections officer who claimed that false evidence had been used against her in an internal investigation.
The investigation was conducted into allegations of inappropriate physical conduct with an inmate.
The unidentified corrections officer was terminated in July 1992 but was reinstated by an arbitrator in November 1993.
She filed the complaint earlier this year.
Sheriff’s officials did not release additional information Wednesday about the investigation.
