Memorial Day in Hayden

As in many towns and cities around our region, Memorial Day was marked by solemnity and ceremony in Hayden, Idaho. Veterans groups provided the pageantry for events to remind Americans of the sacrifice of those in the armed services.

DePew served on submarines from 1943-1946 after getting basic training at Farragut Naval Training Station in Idaho.
