Indians notebook: Xavier Turner, Luke Lanphere promoted

The Northwest League's leader in batting average is taking his talents to the South Atlantic League

 

Indians' third baseman Xavier Turner, who was a top the NWL with a .340 batting average, was promoted to Low-A Hickory along with starting pitcher Luke Lanphere. 

Along with batting average, Turner was leading the team in slugging percentage (.462) and OPS (.867). 

Lanphere served as the team's No. 4 starter and was 3-3 with a 3.52 ERA this season. His 38.1 innings pitched was the most of any Indians pitcher. 

Dula assigned to Spokane for rehab assignment

Chris Dula, who pitched in Spokane in 2014, is making his rehab assignment with the Indians. 

Dula has made four appearance for the High-A High Desert Mavericks this season, posting a 7.94 ERA. When he pitched in Spokane in 2014, he pitched in 13 games and had a 5.40 ERA.
