Seven teams have qualified for the playoffs in the Western Conference: Kelowna, Portland, Victoria, Seattle, Spokane, Everett and Vancouver. Tri-City (64 points) has a four-point lead on Prince George for the eighth and final spot. Prince George is further hampered by having only four regular-season games left while Tri-City has seven.
Calgary, Regina, Edmonton and Medicine Hat have qualified in the Eastern Conference. Kootenay (78 points) and Swift Current (77) are on the brink. Brandon (71), Red Deer (67) and Prince Albert (67) will jockey for the last two spots.
The regular season ends March 16, although most teams, including the Spokane Chiefs, will end March 15.
