Coleman headed to Georgetown (Kent.) College

Former Gonzaga Bulldog Gerard Coleman will play his senior season of basketball for Georgetown (Kent.) College.

Tigers coach Chris Briggs expects Coleman to be a productive player for the NAIA program, which won the national championship two years ago.

Coleman transferred to Gonzaga from Providence, where he was a double-digit scorer for two seasons. The 6-foot-4 wing from Boston averaged 6 points and 1.6 rebounds as a Zag last season. He reached double figures five times in the first nine games, including a 21-point effort versus New Mexico State.

Coleman’s playing time and production decreased over the last three months of the season.
