Painted Hills neighbors oppose development

A group of neighbors near the former Painted Hill Golf Course off Dishman-Mica Road has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to fight the proposed development. Painted Hills Preservation Association sent out a flier opposing the development earlier this month and has raised a bit more than $3,000 from 13 people on GoFundMe.

The golf course was purchased by Black Realty in 2013. The owner is proposing a mix of apartments and single family homes on the site. Neighbors say roads and schools in the area can't support the influx of traffic and students the development will bring.
