Anyone who likes animals and small town fun should check out this weekend's Southeast Spokane County Fair in Rockford south of Spokane Valley. The barns, exhibits and carnival are open right now and there's a whole bunch of things scheduled for the weekend.

There's a 3-on-3 basketball tournament all weekend. Saturday's highlights are a pancake breakfast, fun run, two parades, games, live entertainment and contests. On Sunday there is a horse show and more live entertainment. Click here to read my story from Thursday's Valley Voice to get directions to the fairgrounds. You can find a full schedule of events here.
