Spokane Valley

Wanted: unorthodox school supply shopper

Someone did a little browsing inside Broadway Elementary School over the long Labor Day weekend. According to a press release from the Spokane Valley Police Department, someone broke into the school and snacked on some rice crispy treats, leaving the wrappers all over the kitchen floor. Some chips and applesauce were apparently carted off, along with some tape and pens reported missing by teachers.

There wasn't any damage to any windows or doors, so police aren't sure how the hungry villan was able to enter the school. No one in the school over the weekend saw anyone dining on the gooey treats. Anyone with information on the break in is asked to call Crime Check at 446-2233.
