Officer Sierra’s day with the Spokane Police Department

You might remember Officer Sierra Shank, the Spokane Police Department's new recruit who captured Spokane's most wanted escaped criminal twice in one day.

Shank, who's in remission from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, got to spend a day as a police officer April 27 thanks to her wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The seven-year-old got lots of practice handcuffing bad guys before she went out into the field to capture an escaped criminal and stop a bank robbery.
