Child rapist, molester living as transient

A child rapist considered likely to reoffend is living as a transient in Spokane County, the sheriff's office announce today.

Edwin L. Kedish, 54, served 80 months in prison after being convicted of third-degree rape of a child and first-degree child molestation in Pend Oreille County in 1996.

His victims were girls ages 9 and 15. He recently registered as a transient and is not under supervision, the sheriff's office said.

Kedish is a level 3 sex offender, the group considered most likely to reoffend. He is not wanted by law enforcement, but the Spokane County Sheriff's Office wants people to be aware of his presence.
