Erickson takes job in Hawaii
Keith Erickson answers questions about his departure as city of Coeur d'Alene spokesman:
"I've accepted an exciting position as managing editor of The Garden Island daily newspaper in Kauai, Hawaii. On February 29, I will be joining Editor-in-Chief and former Cd'A Press colleague Bill Buley. I thoroughly enjoyed my two years as communications director for the city of Coeur d'Alene, in particular working with local media, the city's executive team, City Administrator Jim Hammond and Mayor Steve Widmyer. These are great people doing great things for the city of Coeur d'Alene. I am looking forward to resuming my newsroom role in this new island adventure. Beyond managing the newsroom, I will be covering local government in Kauai--something I have missed since hanging up my reporter's cap 15 years ago. I've visited Kauai before and it is a place I look forward to calling home, but I will always consider North Idaho (where I raised two beautiful daughters) my home."
Question: Have you ever lived in Hawaii?
