Malek: ‘Parental Rights’ Bill Stinks

In an email to Huckleberries Online moments ago, state Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d'Alene, explains why he thinks the parental rights bill passed by the Idaho House of Representatives is the worst he's seen in his two legislative terms: "I absolutely support parental rights, but the bill did nothing for parental rights. ‎ In fact, it significantly harmed the entire philosophy of rights by suggesting that the legislature could give rights. Thus, the legislation was constitutionally repugnant...trying to score cheap political points at the expense of the rule of law." Full comment here.

Question: Do you agree/disagree that the "parental rights" bill that now moves to the Senate side is a bad one?
