AFL-CIO Backs 51 D’s, Keough, Malek

The Idaho State AFL-CIO announced its endorsement of federal, statewide and legislative candidates Wednesday, leaning heavily toward labor's traditional allies in the Democratic Party. Of the group's 54 endorsements, three went to Republicans: Sen. Shawn Keough of Sandpoint, Rep. Luke Malek of Coeur d'Alene and Rep. Clark Kauffman of Filer. Only Keough has an opponent in the Nov. 4 election, Constitution Party nominee Christian Fioravanti/Dan Popkey, Idaho Statesman. More here.

Question: Do you think it's a good thing in Tea Party North Idaho for Sen. Keough and Rep. Luke Malek to get the AFL-CIO endorsement?
