Widmyer Files CdA Candidacy Papers

Local businessman Steve Widmyer filed his petition of candidacy today for Coeur d’Alene’s open mayoral seat. Following a previous announcement of his intention to seek the position, Widmyer is now officially in the running to be Coeur d’Alene’s next mayor.  Describing himself as “a guy who grew up in Coeur d’Alene and a pretty conservative businessman,” Widmyer is excited about the opportunity to offer the community a fresh perspective and approach to city government. “People are attracted to Coeur d’Alene for its natural beauty, sense of community, and quality of life,” said Widmyer.  “Having a good quality of life usually involves several factors such as feeling safe in your community, the best health care, quality educational opportunities, a vibrant economy, a variety of recreational and cultural activities, and a government that lives within its means”/Widmyer for Mayor news release.
