Crocker: 2nd Coldest April Ever

It was a 2nd place finish in a race most Inland Northwesterners wanted to avoid.   Spokane was just one degree away from clinching the record for the coldest April in history.   The average high temperature for April 2011 was 41.5 degrees, which is 5 degrees below average.  The record of 40.6 dates back to 1955.  Both 1955 and 2011 were La Nina years.  La Nina is the abnormal cooling of the sea-surface temperatures in the equatorial Pacific, which has been influencing our weather pattern since late Fall of 2010.   New record low montly average temperatures were set at Coeur d'Alene, Ephrata, Ritzville and Wenatchee/Kris Crocker, KXLY. More here.

Question: How are you handling the continued cold?
