Idaho GOP Chair Yates: Pence ‘respected and well-liked among many Republicans’

Idaho Republican Party Chairman Steve Yates issued this statement on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's selection of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, which Trump announced in a tweet today, in advance of a postponed news conference now set for tomorrow:

“We congratulate Gov Mike Pence, and welcome him to the ticket as Donald Trump's selection as our presumptive Republican nominee for Vice President. Gov. Pence is respected and well liked among many Republicans, and will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the ticket. He is a strong leader, a solid conservative, and has a track record of success enacting conservative policies. We look forward to working to elect Mr. Trump and Gov. Pence and to keep Hillary Clinton out of the White House."
