Two former AEHI executives indicted for stock scheme, had announced plans to build nuke plant in Payette County
Two former executives of a company that said it was planning a nuclear power plant in Idaho have been indicted by a federal grand jury on 14 counts of conspiracy, securities fraud, wire fraud, filing false tax returns and making false statements to federal agents. Donald Gillispie, 71, and Jennifer Ransom, 40, both of Meridian, were executives of Eagle-based Alternate Energy Holdings Inc., that had announced plans to construct and operate a nuclear plant in Payette County, but the indictment says they were engaged in a stock scheme.
“Those who manipulate securities markets and deceive investors pose a significant risk to our financial system,” said U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson. You can read the U.S. Attorney’s full announcement here.
