GOP needs to save CHIP

Congressional inaction has resulted in failure to fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program. CHIP has made healthy childhoods possible for millions of American children, and this is vital for our future.

If the GOP wants to put teeth in its stated desire to build a productive workforce for tomorrow, it’s going to require the wisdom to invest today. CHIP’s returns are many multiples on the initial investment — almost as good as investing in a little startup known as Microsoft.
