Police identify driver killed in Interstate 5 collision
BURLINGTON, Wash. – Authorities have identified the person who died in a crash on Interstate 5 north of Seattle near Burlington and shut down northbound lanes of traffic for nearly five hours.
The News Tribune reported that 46-year-old Bradley John Donovan was traveling north when his semitrailer rear-ended a box truck. According to Washington State Police, the box truck spun and a hit a sedan and an SUV.
Donovan’s semi-trailer then hit a barrier separating northbound and southbound lanes.
Donovan was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials do not know what caused Donovan to rear-end the other vehicle.
