EWU’s Cooper Kupp earns special teams award

Eastern Washington senior wide receiver Cooper Kupp was named the Big Sky Conference’s special teams player of the week it was announced on Monday.

Kupp returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown in the Eagles’ 48-17 victory over Idaho State on Saturday. It was Kupp’s third career punt-return score – tying a school record.

Kupp has won four conference offensive player-of-the-week awards and two special teams honors over his career.

EWU travels to Portland State on Friday for the regular-season finale.
