Prep roundup: Shadle Park volleyball holds off Lewis and Clark’s rally attempt
Abby Stolz had 14 kills and Hailee Etter added 19 digs and two aces as Shadle Park thwarted Lewis and Clark’s comeback bid and upset the Tigers in five sets in a Greater Spokane League volleyball match Tuesday at Lewis and Clark. Scores were 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 22-25 and 15-8.
Josie Walser added 24 assists for the Highlanders (1-2). Emily Grzesiak had nine kills and Dakota Pfister added 14 digs and four blocks for Lewis and Clark (2-1).
Elsewhere in the GSL:
Sydney Johnson and KeAnn White had eight kills apiece and Taryn Ungaro added 23 digs as Central Valley (3-0) claimed a straight-set win over host Mt. Spokane. Scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-22.
Miahna Waters had eight kills and Kelly Brown dished out 24 assists to lead the Wildcats (1-2).
Rachel Schlect had 14 kills and 25 digs and University (3-0) topped host Ferris 25-20, 25-21, 24-26, 31-29 in a GSL match. Summer Reid had 19 kills, 21 digs and two aces for the Saxons (0-3).
Amanda Chan had six kills, Payton Douglass had seven digs and Sarah Absalonson added 14 assists as Mead (2-1) swept North Central (0-3) in a GSL match at Mead.
Scores were 25-13, 25-18 and 25-20.
Sophie West had 13 kills and Emily Zink added 21 assists and five aces as Gonzaga Prep (3-0) swept visiting Rogers (0-3) in a GSL match. Scores were 25-19, 25-9 and 25-20.
Keelie Kilgore had four kills and two blocks for the Pirates.
• Kenzie Dean had eight kills and six aces to guide host Timberlake (4-0) past Bonners Ferry (2-2) in an Intermountain League match at Spirit Lake. Matraca Rocheleau added 17 assists for the Tigers.
• Kelsey Nestegard had eight kills and Halley Ghigleri dished out 14 assists as Pullman (3-2) swept West Valley (0-4) in a Great Northern League match at West Valley.
Scores were 25-23, 25-12 and 25-12.
Sydney Lawrence added three aces for the Greyhounds. Kim Anderson had six kills, Jaylynn Buehler handed out 11 assists and Kaitlinn Mullin had three aces to lead the Eagles. … Also in the league, Marissa Peach had 11 kills and Rylie Pease added five aces as Cheney (4-1) topped East Valley 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23 in Cheney. Jordan Phelan led EV (2-3) with 13 kills, 18 digs.

Lewiston 3, Post Falls 1: Demi Randall, Kristin Rietz and Maddie Haas all scored to guide the Bengals past the Trojans in an Inland Empire League 5A match in Lewiston.

Coeur d’Alene Charter 2, Timberlake 2: The Panthers and Tigers played to an Intermountain League draw in Coeur d’Alene. Cecelia McAfee and Cali Shipman scored for CdA Charter, Emily Vanderhoof for the Tigers.
West Valley 2, Pullman 0: Jenna Sullens and Ashley Meyer scored second-half goals and the Eagles (6-2, 5-0) stayed perfect in the Great Northern League with a win over the visiting Greyhounds (3-5, 1-4).
East Valley 3, Cheney 0: Madison Bastin, Micaela Verdal and Shannon Frucci each scored in leading the Knights (6-2, 4-1) past the host Blackhawks (1-7, 0-5) in a GNL match.
