Obituary: Lindsey, Betty Lou
Age 84
She was born April 28, 1931 in Fairplay, CO to Arthur and Louella Kelley.
In 1949 she married Tom Lindsey and they were married for almost 63 years at the time of his death.
Most of their life was spent in Ventura, CA but after retiring they joined some of their children and grandchildren in Spokane in 1999.
Betty was sweet and kind.
She had a loving and gentle spirit that touched everyone she met.
She loved children and enjoyed teaching many groups for her children and others.
Her food and recipes were loved by her family and raved about at church potlucks.
She loved to sew and work in her garden.
Her family cherished her sweet smile.
She was always willing to help anyone she could, and did so without a second thought.
She was a faithful Christian and had many friends from North Addison Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: John (Alaska), Bill (Colorado), Judie, Sandi and Mike (Spokane), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister Ginny and brother Lawrence, all who will miss her deeply but who have many special memories to cherish.
A Celebration of her Life was held in her honor on June 27th.
A family service was held on June 30th.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane for their support and care for our mother.
We know that she is with her beloved husband in heaven and is enjoying the beautiful trees there.
