Let’s keep it civil

Listen up, Spokane City Council members and any fellow letter writers: Anyone with strong feelings about political issues would be well-served to read the book “Gabby” by astronaut Mark Kelly and congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

One of the book’s messages is a call for political discourse; name-calling and vilification of people or politicians we disagree with is irresponsible and disrespectful.

So, if you disagree with Democrat Gov. Jay Inslee, or Republican Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, please express yourself in a respectful, constructive manner.
