High crime no myth

Shawn Vestal’s March 2 column was spot-on. Crime in Spokane is like nothing we’ve ever seen, as a certain website lists it at a hair under twice the national average.

We’ve mentioned it to neighbors only to be told, “It’s the same everywhere.” Seems the no-crime myth in Spokane ranks up there with the four seasons myth.
