BLS – Healthcare Provider Renewal – CPR – Course covers one and two rescuer for adult CPR, child CPR (over age 1), infant CPR, bag-mask ventilations, AED and choking. Participants must have a current AHA Healthcare Provider card or one that has been expired for less than two months, and must pass a written test and perform a CPR skills test for certification. Volunteer Car Seat Safety Technician Training – Safe Kids Kootenai County is seeking recruits to complete this certification course and become volunteer car seat safety technicians. Course is held Wednesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Kootenai County Fire Station #3, 3820 E. 16th St., Post Falls. Cost is $75, and is refundable if you complete the course and subsequently volunteer at two Safe Kids Kootenai County car seat safety events. Candidates should be in good physical health and able to lift 25 pounds, stand up for up to four hours at a time and be able to maneuver in and out of vehicles.
