Divers find man’s body under CdA boat slip
82-year-old had been securing his boat but never finished, police say
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department said the body of an 82-year-old man has been recovered from Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Authorities responded on Saturday after receiving reports the man’s car had been parked at the Carlin Bay Homeowners Association Marina for several days.
Police said items found at a boat slip indicated he was in the process of securing his boat but never finished. Divers were sent in and found the man’s body in 32 feet of water directly under the boat slip.
The man’s name was not immediately released. An autopsy was planned.
