Hatch Road unsafe

The Spokesman-Review

I am a 14-year-old middle school student who does not yet have my driving license. I bike a lot and live by Hatch Road.

I feel that Hatch Road is very unsafe for bikers and pedestrians, and I would like to see a change to it. As of right now it has many potholes and no biking lane on it. If they widened and repaved Hatch, they should put a biking lane on it along with a sidewalk and fix the potholes.

If this road got improved it would benefit not only regular bikers, but bikers that live by Hatch. It would also help cars. Hatch Road is one of very few access roads to the South Hill and will only have increased traffic. It is overdue for an overhaul.
