Clackamas deals Sasquatch tourney loss

Nick Eldridge scored a game-high 26 and the Clackamas Cougars dominated the second half of play en route to a 92-74 victory over the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch on Saturday at the Red Devil Classic in Longview, Wash.

Brian Freeman added 17 points and a game-high 18 rebounds for the Cougars, who outscored the Sasquatch 54-37 after halftime.

Eric Beal topped CC Spokane with 16 points, while Jon Clift scored 12. Zach Gianukakis topped the Sasquatch with eight rebounds.

“North Idaho sophomore Brian Morris had game highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Cardinals past United Tribes 86-84 to win the Pepsi Cardinal Classic in Coeur d’Alene.

After shooting a red-hot 55.3 percent from the field in the first half, North Idaho shot just 39.1 percent in the second half and nearly squandered a 17-point halftime lead.
