GU women unbeaten through three

The undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs cruised to an 84-43 victory over Sacramento State (1-1) Thursday night at the McCarthey Athletic Center, led by Michelle Elliott’s season-high 22 points.

Elliott was 4 for 5 from behind the arc despite playing just 10 minutes in the second half.

Eleven players scored for the Zags.

GU shot 54 percent from the floor but was outrebounded 31-29.

Sophomore guard Sasha Polishchuk dropped in 12 points and Katy Ridenour had three steals with 11 points for GU.

The Bulldogs concluded a three-game homestand and will attempt to start their season 4-0 for the first time since the 1993-94 season when they play Sunday at Montana.
