Safe stolen from mall booth

The Spokesman-Review

Somebody broke into a Spokane Valley Mall food booth and stole a safe containing cash and checks overnight Tuesday.

Sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday somebody stole the safe at Edo Japan, 14730 E. Indiana Ave., said Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

Investigating officers were not sure how the suspect gained entry into the business, as there was no surveillance video to check, Reagan said.

The safe contained a small amount of cash and two employee payroll checks, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 242-TIPS.
