Levy costs no more than we’re paying now

Please vote “Yes” on May 16 for the West Valley School District Replacement Levy. This is not a new tax, just a replacement of an expiring levy. As a mother of a West Valley gradeschooler I have seen first-hand how this money is put to good use.

Busing kids to and from school as well as field trips and other activities is just one expense paid for by this levy. Without this money many of our youngest students will have to cross busy streets and railroad tracks to make it to school. Music, art, drama and athletic programs are supported by this levy also. Without these funds the upkeep of our schools and grounds will suffer greatly, which hurts our community as a whole. A good school district raises the value of all our homes and makes our neighborhoods more desirable.

This levy makes sense. It costs no more money than we are paying now to allow West Valley students to continue learning in the great atmosphere our district provides.
