Comic’s depression fodder for one-man show

Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ, 411 S. Washington St., is hosting a performance by comedian Brian Wetzel at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

“Side by Side: A Journey with Depression” is a one-man show about Wetzel’s experiences with clinical depression. The performances are sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Spokane, the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the Coalition of Responsible Disabled.

The cost is $10 for mental health workers and consumers and $15 for general admission, although no one will be turned away for inability to pay.

Producers say that if this show were a movie, it would be rated PG-13, so it may not be appropriate for kids.
