Brewers 11, Reds 0: At Milwaukee, the Brewers became the first major league team in 40 years to hit five home runs in one inning in a victory over Cincinnati.

Cardinals 4, Cubs 1: At St. Louis, Albert Pujols’ two-run single with the bases loaded snapped a fifth-inning tie, helping St. Louis grind out a victory over Chicago.

Astros 3, Pirates 0: At Houston, Taylor Buchholz came within one out of a one-hit shutout for his first major league win in Houston’s victory over Pittsburgh.

Giants 6, Rockies 4: At Denver, Barry Bonds and Ray Durham each hit their first homers of the season to help San Francisco beat Colorado.

Mets 8, Padres 1: At San Diego, Pedro Martinez had a season-high 11 strikeouts in seven innings, and Carlos Delgado homered in his third consecutive game to lead New York over San Diego.

Diamondbacks 5, Dodgers 4: At Los Angeles, Chad Tracy had four hits – including three doubles – to lead Arizona to a win over Los Angeles.

Braves at Nationals, ppd: The game in Washington was postponed by rain. It will be played Sept. 18.

Marlins at Phillies, ppd: The game in Philadelphia was postponed by rain. It will be played July 30.
