Mead forming panel to revise boundaries

The Mead School District Board has established a citizens’ advisory committee to recommend student attendance boundary revisions.

The revisions are necessary for the opening of the district’s eighth elementary school in the fall of 2007.

Secondary student attendance areas also will be addressed. The committee will be made up of two parent representatives from each school. They will begin work in October and meet weekly with a scheduled recommendation by June.

If you are interested, submit your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, school(s) your child or children attend and a brief statement of your interest in serving the district.

Send the information to the attention of Al Swanson, Superintendent, Mead School District, 12828 N. Newport Hwy, Mead, WA 99021 or e-mail alswan@mead.k12.wa.us. If you have any questions, contact Al Swanson at 465-6014.
