Bi-County: The girls will determine the basketball league champion Friday in Hartline. Eighth-ranked Sprague-Harrington (15-2, 14-1) comes in to face Almira/Coulee-Hartline (15-2, 14-1). The Falcons drilled ACH by 22 in early January. Since back-to-back losses in January, the Warriors have won 10 straight. The No. 3 Lind-Ritzville boys (16-1, 14-1) have had their league lead cut to one game over No. 8 Northwest Christian (15-2, 13-2) after the Broncos lost 52-46 at fourth-place Valley Christian (10-7, 9-6) on Tuesday.

Panorama: The league tournament begins for the girls on Tuesday and the boys on Wednesday. Two division winners have already been decided, with Republic’s boys (17-1, 12-0, ranked first in the state) and Cusick’s girls (18-1, 13-0, No. 2 in state) running away with titles. The boys’ South division will be decided Saturday when St. George’s (9-9, 8-4) plays host Selkirk (11-7, 9-3) at Ione. Friday in the North, Curlew’s girls (17-1, 12-1, No. 5 in state) play at Inchelium (14-4, 11-2).

Whitman County: The regular season will end this weekend for most teams, and officially on Monday with Colton at LaCrosse-Washtucna. On the girls side, Garfield-Palouse (17-1, 9-1) will finish first. A tie for second between St. John-Endicott (12-6, 7-3) and Tekoa-Oakesdale (12-6, 7-3) is likely, as both teams are left with Gar-Pal and Rosalia (3-14, 0-9) in regular-season action. That would force a tiebreaker Tuesday for seeding in districts that begin Feb. 11. On the boys’ side, second-place Gar-Pal (12-6, 7-3) is host to T-O (15-3, 8-2) Friday at Palouse. The next two teams in the standings, L-W (12-4, 6-3) and host Asotin (14-5, 7-4), play Friday.
