Eat, Drink and Support the United Way – Participating restaurants will donate a percentage of their day’s receipts to the United Way Kootenai County. Participating businesses are Ristorante Marguerite, TCBY in Post Falls, Applebees, Eduardos, The Breakfast Nook, Canton Restaurant, Olympia Greek Restaurant and Rustler’s Roost in Hayden.

Bonner County Planning and Zoning Commission – Garfield Bay Water and Sewer District is seeking a conditional-use permit for a public utility complex facility to allow for the expansion of the existing sewage disposal system. The meeting will be held todayat 8:15 p.m. in Courtroom No. 4 of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First, Sandpoint. At 6 p.m. it will discuss a zone-change request for a conditional-use permit for a commercial/private retreat for children with disabilities requested by George and Elizabeth McKinnon.

Book Launch Party for Dennis Nicholls – 5 p.m. at the Power House Grill in Sandpoint, beginning at 6 p.m. The book is the most complete ever written on the Selkirk Mountains and is entitled “Trails of the Wild Selkirks.” The event is free and open to the public. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

It’s not too late to sign up for University of Idaho Summer classes – Classes begin June 14 and July 12. Open to everyone; no formal admissions process, out-of-state tuition or parking permits. Applicants simply submit a non-degree application and registration form found at www.uidaho.edu/registar/forms/NonDApp.pdf. Costs range from $167-$284 per credit hour.

Community education class registration – North Idaho College offers a variety of classes including dance, sailing, Japanese for fun, intuitive awareness, retirement financial planning, window cleaning 101, flex and stretch and golf.
