3 Cougs Qualify

WSU sophomore Becky Potter surpassed the NCAA provisional qualifying mark and toppled the school indoor record for the women’s 20-pound weight Saturday in the Silver State invitational.

Potter’s throw of 56-feet, 6-1/2 inches, good for third place, toppled her own school record of 54-8-1/4.

Redshirt sophomore Francesca Green qualified in the long jump with a winning jump of 20-4-1/4. Bernard Lagat won the mile with a qualifying time of 4:08.10.
