Foreman Wins By Decision, Takes Ibu Heavyweight Title
George Foreman defeated Crawford Grimsley on Sunday, winning a unanimous decision in their 12-round heavyweight fight.
At stake was the IBU title, not considered one of the major boxing championships.
On the undercard, HIV-infected boxer Tommy Morrison made quick and easy work of last-minute opponent Marcus Rhode with a knockout a mere 1 minute, 38 seconds into the first round.
The bout marked former heavyweight champion Morrison’s first time back in the ring since announcing in February he had contracted the AIDS-causing virus.
