Cfl’s Stampeders Sign Dickenson
Dave Dickenson, who quarterbacked the University of Montana to the Division I-AA national championship last fall, has agreed to a two-year contract offer from the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Dickenson reports to training camp at the University of Calgary on Sunday.
Garrison Hearst signed a $2 million offer from the Arizona Cardinals. The one-year contract at 110 percent of last year’s salary will leave Hearst an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, unless he is able to negotiate a new deal.
Reggie Johnson, a fast tight end who spent last season with Philadelphia, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson, 28, signed a two-year contract. Before coming to the Eagles, he played one year with Green Bay and three years with Denver.
