Man Injured In I-90 Accident
A Hayden Lake man was listed in serious condition Monday night after losing control of his car on Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol.
James E. Brewer Jr., 33, was being treated in Sacred Heart Medical Center’s intensive-care unit for a lacerated lung, fractured ribs and other internal injuries.
His 5-year-old son, Nathan, was in stable condition after being treated for bruises and scrapes at Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
The accident happened about 12:45 p.m. Monday a couple of miles east of the state line. Brewer was driving eastbound in the left lane when he lost control and struck the median, the state patrol said.
The 1981 Honda Accord then veered across both eastbound lanes and rolled several times.
Brewer and his son weren’t wearing seat belts, the state patrol said.
