The Hot Seat A Weekly Look At People In The News

Hello? Dexter? This is the public calling

We would love to tell you why Dexter Amend does such weird things but he won’t talk to the media. Since one of our missions is to demand accountability from elected officials we need your help. We know Dexter is basically a good guy but his macabre, gluteal-maximal obsession even has his coroner cronies calling him an embarrassment. Old Dex knows what we think but we want to make sure he knows what you think. So get some friends and start a letter-writing campaign. Better yet, call him Monday at 456-2296 and politely tell him to get the hell out of office. He won’t listen to us but he might listen to you.

Talk radio bomb-thrower shoots the messenger

Richard Clear is mad at us for reporting that he finished dead last in the Arbitron ratings. And he should be mad. If he continues to be the bottom feeder, he’ll be without a job, again. The ratings were taken during the Mariner’s pennant drive and Clear claims that is the reason for his dreadfully poor showing. However, if his show is as good as he thinks, and his listeners as loyal, it seems they would have forsaken the M’s in order to rant with Clear. Unless of course the ratings were right. In that case Clear will need a devil to blame for the fact that no one listens to his bombast. So, Richard, if you need us, we’ll gladly be your devil.

Hot Seat Hex destroys radio transmitter

Our running battle with the Radiomen is over. We silenced the noisy buggers by putting the Hot Seat Hex on the transmitter at their Palousian Palace. But they didn’t give up easily. Using their razor-sharp radio brains they tried to strengthen their signal by yelling loudly into the microphones. It didn’t work. The hex can only be broken by a witch doctor. And the only witch doctor in town won’t talk to the media.
