Man Shot, Wounded In East Central Area

A man was shot and seriously wounded Monday night in East Central Spokane, police said.

Shortly after 10 p.m., the bloodied victim was found lying at the bottom of an apartment stairwell at 2108 E. First.

He was taken by ambulance to a hospital with a life-threatening bullet wound in his side, police said. Police had no suspects and were investigating. The victim was described as an Hispanic male in his 20s.
