Four Scouts Found Breaking Into Store

From Staff And Wire Reports

Four Boy Scouts may not be earning merit badges anymore.

The boys, ages 13 to 15, were found breaking into a store at Camp Cowles on Diamond Lake Saturday.

Scout Ranger Tom Dishaw, who is a volunteer firefighter, witnessed the boys in the store and reported the incident to the Pend Oreille Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s sad that something like that happens,” Dishaw said. “It’s not supposed to happen.”

Three of the boys are from Kennewick and one is from Clancy, Mont.

No charges have been filed. The boys face dismissal from the Scouts, authorities said. , DataTimes
